After collecting 50 cell phones in May, we executed our first 50 seedling planting today at the public park on Sun King Crescent in Barrie’s south end. Despite teeming rain, the soil was soft and permitted us to get the trees in the ground without issue.
We’re hoping to have several hundred seedlings to plant this fall when the ground cools down and the trees stand a good chance of survival.
Special thanks to Don Wright and A News for coming out and covering our event despite the rain.
Please continue to recycle your cell phone through us and help us improve the environment!
